Dr. Murthy brings 22 years of experience to SSEI. Before joining, she was the Chief of the Cornea service in LVPEI, Hyderabad India. She is also adjunct professor at University of Rochester.
Dr. Murthy is nationally renowned cornea- cataract-refractive surgery expert par excellence and an expert in ocular inflammation. With over 190 peer-reviewed research publications (current h-index 31; citations 3040), Dr. Murthy’s majority of research interest lies in intraocular inflammation. A sought-after speaker, people’s manager, and team builder, she is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the All-India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS).
She has a deep passion for women’s empowerment. In her spare time, she loves to travel to see new places and meet new people.
